Labor Relations-Work Boot MOU
The Labor Relations team made significant progress on the Memorandum of Understanding regarding uniforms, safety glasses and work boots for those members who require them. We are close to signing off and are verifying which unit members currently require boots. The amount of the work boot reimbursement has been raised to $135 and we have learned that uniforms may be considered as “PERS-able” compensation, adding to the income used to compute a retiree’s monthly retirement benefit by CalPERS.
